The Rocketeer is one of my favorite classic Disney movies from the early 90s. If you haven’t already seen it yet, please do yourself a solid favor and fire up Disney+ and give it a watch.
Next year is the 30th anniversary of the Disney film, and Diamond Select Toys is getting the party started this year with several new Rocketeer collectibles and toys which include releases in their PVC Diorama, Premier Resin Statue, 1/2 Scale Bust, Select Action Figure, and Vinimates product lines. That is a lot of Rocketeer. Our great friends at Diamond Select Toys sent us some Rocketeer products to showcase on the blog.
Today, we will be taking a look at the NYCC Limited Edition Rocketeer Vinimates figure which is a black and white variant. The black and white color scheme resembles what the Rocketeer looked like in newspapers and black and white TVs from the time period that the movie takes place. This is the third Rocketeer Vinimates figure released. The standard Rocketeer Vinimates figure release is the character’s 1991 movieversion, and a SDCC 2020 release pays tribute to the Rocketeer comic.
Packaging
There is a sticker that seals the top flap of the package and notes that this figure is a limited edition of only 300.
The Rocketeer Figure
The classic black and white vintage colors look classic on the Rocketeer.
I love the white flames shooting out of the Rocketeer’s jet pack.
Here are some side by side comparison shots of the three different Rocketeer Vinimates figures.
Where to Buy?
The Diamond Select Toys’ Rocketeer Vinimates NYCC 2020 (LE 300) black and white variant figure retails for $10, and it can be purchased directly from Diamond Select Toys’ Online Shop:
Final Thoughts
The Rocketeer Vinimates figures look fantastic on a shelf, and I love how there are three unique color variants available of the Rocketeer. I definitely recommend the NYCC black and white Rocketeer variant for fans of the character.

I think that in Sling TV, “Escape From The ImmpossiBin!” has a new picture!

If you have Hulu or Sling TV, guess what? The ImmpossiBin has a cover. I am at this moment watching Amphibia on Disney XD live, but I’ll keep checking if you respond.
