Walt Disney Pictures’ The Rocketeer debuted on June 21, 1991. Just in time to celebrate the film’s 30th anniversary next year, Diamond Select Toys has a collection of collectibles to celebrate this cult classic. It is a great time to be a Rocketeer fan with fans seeing the movie for the first time or the 100th time on the Disney+ streaming service. Last November, The Rocketeer animated show debuted on Disney Junior in November, and strong rumors hint at a possible reboot or sequel to the Rocketeer being developed for Disney+.

Packaging

The Rocketeer Gallery Diorama comes in a classic silver box to match the color of the film’s original movie poster.

The box includes windows for you to preview the collectible. You could display this figure in box, but that would be a crime as this figure is museum quality.

The Rocketeer Gallery Diorama

My first impression as I unboxed this figure was that this solid figure looks like a premium statue. It retails for $49.99, but it is the same quality and sculpt details of a figure that you might see retail in the $100-$200 price range. The height of the figure is 11 inches. It is made of high quality PVC, and it looks freaking great on a shelf.

The detailed sculpting on the jet pack include the piece of gum that covers a hole in the jet pack.

Since The Rocketeer looked like he was going to take flight in my house, I decided that he needed some fresh air so I took him outside for a test flight photo shoot. Check out these pics that I was able to get.

The Rocketeer film merch in 2020…am I dreaming? This statue is simply amazing, and a must have for fans of the Rocketeer film. If you haven’t seen the Rocketeer film yet, stop reading this blog and watch it on Disney+ immediately. You will be impressed with the film and the characters and want some merch. Then come back to this blog and order the Rocketeer Gallery Diorama.

The quality of this statue is a great bargain at its retail price of $49.99. As you can see from my photos above, it is durable enough to take outside for some great photos. I plan on taking it to other outdoor locations and some Disney Theme Parks to get some Rocketeer flying around Walt Disney World shots.
