The Rocketeer is one of my favorite classic Disney movies from the early 90s. If you haven’t already seen it yet, please do yourself a solid favor and fire up Disney+ and give it a watch.
Next year is the 30th anniversary of the Disney film, and Diamond Select Toys is getting the party started this year with several new Rocketeer collectibles and toys which include releases in their PVC Diorama, Premier Resin Statue, 1/2 Scale Bust, Select Action Figure, and Vinimates product lines. That is a lot of Rocketeer. Our great friends at Diamond Select Toys sent us some Rocketeer products to showcase on the blog.
Today, we will be taking a look at the very impressive The Rocketeer Legends in 3D 1/2 Scale Bust.

The Rocketeer Legends in 3D 1/2 Scale Bust
This resin statue bust is a work of art and my favorite of all of the Diamond Select Toys Rocketeer products that we have had the pleasure of showcasing. This 10 inch portrait statue is a limited edition of only 1,000 pieces. The Rocketeer bust was designed by Joe Allard and sculpted by Rocco Tartamella. They really nailed the look of the character from the 1991 Disney film. This thing looks absolutely legendary at any angle as you will see from the pictures below. The pedestal base nicely complements the bust as part of the Rocketeer’s jet pack.

Final Thoughts
This is my first time getting an on hands look at the Legends in 3D 1/2 Scale Bust product line by Diamond Select Toys. The quality of this product is very impressive especially considering the price point. I am starting to think about other Legends in 3D 1/2 Scale Busts that I would like to add to the collection like the Mandalorian and Kylo Ren. The fact that the Rocketeer got the 1/2 Scale bust treatment just goes to show you how dedicated Diamond Select Toys has been to get the Rocketeer licensed toys and collectibles in all of their product lines. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product for all fans of the Rocketeer.

There’s just something odd about the scale of the helmet. It is specifically noticeable in a side view where you notice that Cliff’s head couldn’t possibly fit within the helmet given where his chin and nose would be. Sadly, as tempted as I was initially, I don’t think I can grab this one. I know…nitpicked.
