and we live again!

Gargoyles fans are really living this year with a brand new Gargoyles comic from Dynamite Comics written by Disney Afternoon legend and Gargoyles creator, Greg Weisman. Some of the best Gargoyles toys and collectibles since the show debuted in 1995 have also been released the past two years. Diamond Select Toys has joined in on the Gargoyles renaissance era of merch revival fun with an exciting Gargoyles high quality product release. Gargoyles has joined DST’s popular product line of resin mini-busts. The first four Gargoyles characters to release in this new series will be Goliath, David Xanatos, Demona, and a Steel Clan Gargoyle.

Packaging

The Gargoyles Goliath Mini-Bust comes packaged in a large black box with a red outlined New York City skyline. Stock photos of the mini bust at different angles appear on all sides of the box. To be honest, I feel like the packaging does not do the epic product inside justice.

There is a little assembly required as the Gargoyles Goliath Mini-Bust comes in four pieces due to Goliath’s massive wing span. The two wings and hair easily attach to the body of the mini-bust.

Goliath Mini-Bust

Jalapeño! The leader of the Manhattan Clan of Gargoyles looks fantastic as a 1/7 scale resin mini-bust. I feel like this figure depicts Goliath’s look in the Gargoyles animated series better than all of the other great recently released Goliath merch. I was very pleased with the sculpt, and I thought it looked even better in person than in photos and videos that I had previously seen.

Goliath is around 5 inches tall which extends to a total height of 8 inches with the mini-bust base and his wings. His total wingspan is around 9 inches wide.

The figure is designed by Barry Bradfield and sculpted by Varner Studios.

Final Thoughts

This Gargoyles Goliath Mini-Bust turned out even better than I expected. I have always been a fan of Diamond Select Toys’ Mini-Bust product line. They have made some really great ones for Star Wars, Marvel, and DC fans. It is great that they added the Gargoyles license to make these high quality collectibles for Gargoyles fans. I am excited for future releases in this series, and I hope that it sells well enough to eventually make the whole Manhattan Gargoyles Clan. As you can see from a group picture below, the DST mini-bust definitely stands out among some of my other Goliath items. Gargoyles fans, we live again!
