Super7 launched their Mickey and Friends Vintage Collection ReAction series earlier this year to celebrate classic Disney animated shorts of the fab five.

Our super friends at Super7 sent over Mickey and Friends Vintage Collection ReAction Wave 2 for us to showcase on the blog.

Wave 2 featured Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy from Hawaiian Holiday. The only character from Hawaiian Holiday not included in this wave is Pluto. Pluto would most likely resembled the Pluto from Wave 1 minus the Canine Patrol hat.

Hawaiian Holiday is available to stream on Disney+. It can also be watched here.

The Mickey and Friends Vintage Collection Wave 2 ReAction figures all have matching window packaging with a Hawaiian postcard theme. Here is a look at the difference in packaging between Wave 1 and Wave 2.

I am an out of box collector, but I would not judge anyone for wanting to keep these fun figures on display in the packaging or for buying a second set because the packaging for this wave like Wave 1 is just perfect.

Mickey Mouse (Hawaiian Holiday)

This Mickey Mouse ReAction figure could pretty much represent Mickey from any animated short where he wears his famous red shorts and yellow shoes combination. This figure comes with a guitar accessory. Mickey has five points of articulation: head, arms (2) and legs (2).

As the Mickey and Friends Vintage Collection continues to expand, you can eventually have a really nice Mickey through the years figure collection.

Minnie Mouse (Hawaiian Holiday)

Minnie Mouse shows off her mad hula dance skills in Hawaiian Holiday. This is Minnie’s first Super7 Reaction figure.

This Minnie Mouse figure does not include any accessories. I wish Minnie’s eye lids with the purple eye shadow and eye lashes would have been painted lower on the figure. Minnie has five points of articulation: head, arms (2), and legs (2).

Minnie’s wrist are not articulated, but you can turn her head and lift her arms to get her into a simple hula dance pose.

Donald Duck (Hawaiian Holiday)

The multitalented Donald Duck plays his guitar and later hula dances in Hawaiian Holiday.

Donald Duck comes with a ukulele accessory. Donald has five points of articulation: head, arms (2) and legs (2).

As the Mickey and Friends Vintage Collection continues to expand, you can eventually have a really nice Donald through the years figure collection.

Goofy (Hawaiian Holiday)

Goofy spends all of his time trying to surf in Hawaiian Holiday.

Goofy comes with a surf board accessory. Goofy has five points of articulation: head, arms (2) and legs (2). Goofy was the only character from this wave that I had to work on distributing the weight in my poses so that he wouldn’t fall over. There is a peg on the surf board that you can stick into a hole on the bottom of Goofy’s shoe.

As the Mickey and Friends Vintage Collection continues to expand, you can eventually have a really nice Goofy through the years figure collection.

Final Thoughts

I like that Super7 did a Mickey and Friends Vintage Collection wave of ReAction figures from the same animated short. This wave makes me really want to go to the beach or Hawaii, but the beach is probably closer and cheaper. Hawaiian Holiday is a classic short that now has some high quality action figure representation. As I mentioned above, I can’t wait to build out the whole collection to show a progression of the characters’ roles through the years now in action figure form.

The possibilities are really exciting with a deep bench of characters and animated shorts to choose from. My wish list would be a mile long, but I am personally hoping for figures from Lonesome Ghost or Trick-Or-Treat.

At the 2022 D23 Expo, we got a sneak peek at Mickey and Friends Vintage Collection Reaction figures Wave 3 which features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Mickey’s Horse, and Peg Leg Pete from the classic Disney animated short Two-Gun Mickey.
