Super7 launched their Mickey and Friends Vintage Collection ReAction series earlier this year to celebrate classic Disney animated shorts of the fab five.
Our super friends at Super7 sent over Mickey and Friends Vintage Collection ReAction Wave 1 for us to showcase on the blog.
Wave 1 featured Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, and Goofy from an assortment of classic animated shorts.
- Mickey Mouse – Brave Little Tailor (1938)
- Donald Duck – Dumb Bell of the Yukon (1946)
- Pluto – Canine Patrol (1945)
- Goofy – Tiger Trouble (1945)
The Mickey and Friends Vintage Collection Wave 1 ReAction figures all have matching window packaging with a yellow starburst design from the classic animated shorts that would highlight the face of the star before the animated short.
The figure packaging is topped off with Mickey Mouse ears.
The back of the box showcases all of the characters that are included in Mickey and Friends Vintage Collection ReAction figures Wave 1.
I am an out of box collector, but I would not judge anyone for wanting to keep these fun figures on display in the packaging or for buying a second set because the packaging for this wave is just perfect.
Mickey Mouse (Brave Little Tailor)
Mickey Mouse took on a giant with his trusty pair of scissors and some thread in one of his bravest roles ever, Brave Little Tailor. Brave Little Tailor is definitely one of my favorite Mickey Mouse classic animated shorts.
Brave Little Tailor is available to stream on Disney+.
Brave Little Tailor Mickey Mouse comes to life with his mighty scissors as an accessory. The paint job is bright and colorful like the animated short. Mickey has five points of articulation: head, arms(2), and legs (2).
Super7 also made a 16-inch Supersize figure version of the Brave Little Tailor.
For Super7’s Disney Ultimates figure line, Mickey Mouse as The Sorcerer’s Apprentice was chosen. The Mickey Mouse Brave Little Tailor ReAction figure does not scale perfectly with The Sorcerer’s Apprentice Disney Ultimates figure, but it is not far off.
Donald Duck (Dumb Bell of the Yukon)
Donald has an encounter with some bears when he gets a request from Daisy for a fur coat in Dumb Bell of the Yukon. This is not the most well known Donald Duck animated short, but it is a great look for Donald in cold weather attire.
This Donald Duck figure does not include any accessories. Donald has five points of articulation: head, arms (2), and legs (2).
Pluto (Canine Patrol)
Pluto is in charge of patrolling a beach for the coast guard in Canine Patrol. He has his paws full when a newborn turtle wants to swim in a restricted zone.
Pluto has five points of articulation: head and legs (4).
Pluto comes with a figure of the secondary character from Canine Patrol, Shelby Turtle. A bonus character as an accessory is always fun.
Goofy (Tiger Trouble)
Goofy hunts tigers in India, but Goofy ultimately becomes the hunted by the tiger in Tiger Trouble.
This Goofy figure does not include any accessories. Goofy has five points of articulation: head, arms (2), and legs (2). Goofy was the only character from this wave that I had to work on distributing the weight in my poses so that he wouldn’t fall over.
I thought Goofy could use some animals on his safari. So I took a pic of him with Shelby Turtle from the Super7 Mickey and Friends Pluto ReAction figure pack.

Final Thoughts
Super7 Mickey and Friends Vintage Collection ReAction Wave 1 really got the series kicked off strong with some interesting animated short choices from some really colorful characters. Disney action figures based on specific classic animated shorts was an amazing idea that all Disney fans can get behind. The ReAction figure line is not as articulated and posable as Ultimates, but the ReAction figures look really great grouped together on the shelf. I love the quality of these ReAction figures, and I am excited for future waves of the series. All of the figures look like they just jumped off the screen.
The possibilities are really exciting with a deep bench of characters and animated shorts to choose from. My wish list would be a mile long, but I am personally hoping for figures from Lonesome Ghost or Trick-Or-Treat.
We will take a closer look in a future blog at Wave 2 soon which features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy from the classic Disney animated short Hawaiian Holiday.
A big thanks to our super friends at Super7 for allowing us to showcase this fun product line on our blog.
