Super7 revealed during the 2022 D23 Expo weekend that wave 4 from their popular Disney Ultimates figure line will consist of three characters from the cult classic Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack Skellington, Sally, and Oogie Boogie will be haunting your collection next year with an estimated December 2023 release.

This is the first time that Super7 has done a complete wave from the same movie. Having all of the figures from the wave from the same franchise definitely fits the mold for Disney collectors, and I think they will respond well to this wave since they know they are getting multiple figures from the same franchise.

Here is the updated breakdown from Disney IPs represented in Disney Ultimates Waves 1-4:

• Fantasia (3) (Sorcerer Mickey, Hyacinth Hippo, Ben Ali Gator)
• Alice in Wonderland (3) (Alice, Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts)
• The Nightmare Before Christmas (3) (Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie)
• Robin Hood (2) (Prince John, Robin Hood)
• Pinocchio (1) (Pinocchio)
• Lilo and Stitch (1) (Stitch)
• Silly Symphonies (1) (The Big Bad Wolf)

These are definitely the three characters that most represent Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Each Ultimates figure in this wave comes loaded with accessories. I can always appreciate a figure that comes with multiple head sculpts. I really like the soft goods that come with Jack and Sally’s attire.

Oogie Boogie is definitely a big want for me from this wave. I am collecting all of the Disney Villains from Super7’s Disney Ultimates line. So I have to roll the dice and get the Oogie Boogie man. I really like the head sculpt with his snake tongue and also his popped a stitch bugged out look. Super7 likes to have variants with some of their figure releases. There have not been any variants so far in the Disney Ultimates line, but I would love to see this figure with the a black light glow in the dark green paint job.
