The Creature From Under the Stairs and Cyclops from The Nightmare Before Christmas have arrived in figure form as PX exclusives from Diamond Select Toys. PX Previews is a retail catalog published by Diamond Comic distribution. The exclusives are usually found at comic book shops and some online retailers.

Packaging

The Creature From Under the Stairs and Cyclops come in a window package that displays the figures. The window packaging leaves the option of displaying this figure in the box if you are an in box collector. The back of the box has a picture of the figures as well as a description of the characters.

Creature Under the Stairs

The Creature Under the Stairs looks like he is made of wood from the stairs. His snake hands and spider hair gives him a really unique looking character design. His face really makes him a scary looking monster. This Halloween Town resident can be found in The Nightmare Before Christmas during the “This is Halloween” and “Making Christmas” songs.

The Creature Under the Stairs’ head does resemble a sand worm from Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice. He did have some paint issues on his face which may be why he lives under the stairs.

Cyclops

The Cyclops shows up in The Nightmare Before Christmas film as a background character in almost all scenes where the townspeople of Halloween Town. I love the design of this character, and his goofiness translates well in the sculpt of the figure.

There are no accessories included in this figure pack.

Final Thoughts

These were two characters that I had never expected to see in The Nightmare Before Christmas action figure line, but I should have known better considering Diamond Select Toys’ love of the deep cut character releases for this product line. We may eventually see DST release figures of all characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas before the product line is done. These figures would make great additions to your Halloween, Christmas, or The Nightmare Before Christmas displays.
