I don’t think you can really takeover a holiday successfully and make Christmas without Mrs. Claus. Maybe that is where Jack Skellington went wrong.

Diamond Select Toys brings a deep cut to their The Nightmare Before Christmas Series 10 of figures with a Mrs. Claus figure. Making figures of some of the characters that may not have gotten much screen time in The Nightmare Before Christmas film is what has really excelled this figure product line by DST. Mrs. Claus appears for a few brief seconds in the film as she is baking snacks for Santa’s lunchbox before he is kidnapped by Lock, Shock, and Barrel. Mrs. Claus also appears in The Nightmare Before Christmas sequel comic book, “Zero’s Journey”.

Packaging

Mrs. Claus comes in a window package that displays the figure and accessories. The window packaging leaves the option of displaying this figure in the box if you are an in box collector. The back of the box has a picture of the figure as well as a description of the character. The other figures in series 10, Corpse Dad, Mr. Hyde and Corpse Mom, are also previewed on the back.

Mrs. Claus

The Mrs. Claus figure has a detailed jolly festive sculpt. She will stand just fine on a shelf. She has a few points of articulation, but she is not very posable. Her hands have the red oven mitts that she is wearing during her cameo in The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Accessories

The Mrs. Claus figure comes with a few additional accessories: Choir Elf, Penguin on a Pie, and a Pie.

The Choir Elf comes with a music sheet. This character is from the scene in Christmas Town when Jack Skellington is singing his “What’s This?” song.

The penguin laying comfortably on a pie figure is also straight out from the “What’s This?” scene.

The last accessory is a berry pie. The figure gets bonus points for actually being well balanced enough to hold the pie in either of her oven mitten hands.

Final Thoughts

Mrs. Claus will bring joy and pie to your Halloween, Christmas, or Nightmare Before Christmas displays. It is another solid release in the forever growing The Nightmare Before Christmas figure collection from Diamond Select Toys. I really do appreciate the deep cut character selections by DST. The Nightmare Before Christmas is such an iconic classic movie with a cult following and a ton of merch, but this is the only merch to ever feature Mrs. Claus from the film. I am going to have to track down a Santa Claus figure to display with Mrs. Claus.
