Beast Kingdom’s D-Stage product line gives popular characters a diorama stage to bring more life to your figure collection without taking up additional space. There is a lot of details poured into each of these 7 inch scale figures. Our friends at Beast Kingdom sent over some D-Stage samples for us to showcase on the blog.

Today we will be taking a look at Beast Kingdom’s D-Stage figure for the 1937 classic Mickey Mouse animated short Clock Cleaners. Clock Cleaners stars Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy. The trio are hired to clean a tall clock tower in New York City. The animated short is available to stream on Disney+.

Packaging

All Beast Kingdom D-Stage figures come in clear plastic boxes which prominently displays all sides except for the back of the figure. You could display this figure in box if you really wanted to, but my recommendation would be to take it out of the box to enjoy all of the details.

Mickey Mouse Clock Cleaners (DS-046)

Three scenes from the animated short are put together to form this fun figure diorama.

The back of the figure shows the front of the clock face since Mickey, Donald, and Goofy are cleaning the reverse side of the clock for most of the animated short.

The details on this figure are what makes it special. Reviewing this figure prompted me to watch Clock Cleaners on Disney+ a few times to really appreciate the sculptor’s work and details.

In the Clock Cleaners animated short, Mickey Mouse encounters a stork sleeping on a gear as he is sweeping the dust between the gears with a broom.

Goofy cleans clock gears with a large tooth brush and tube of tooth paste.

Donald Duck has an encounter with the clock’s main spring.

As I mentioned above, the back side of the Clock Cleaners D-Stage figure is the face of the clock. The time displayed on the clock matches the time shown on the clock at the beginning of the cartoon. This is definitely a fun Easter Egg.

Final Thoughts

Figure displays look next level when you can combine other figures to make a scene. Beast Kingdom’s D-Stage products deliver everything that you need for that figure display at a reasonable price all in one package. This release is a great figure celebrating a classic Disney animated short starring Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy. Disney animated shorts definitely deserve more merch love. I would love to see Beast Kingdom continue to make more D-Stage figures based on classic Disney animated shorts. Lonesome Ghosts and Trick-or-Treat would be at the top of my want list.
