The new DuckTales show officially rebooted with the premiere of the first episode “Woo-oo” in August 20177, but did you know that the new show also received a comic that debuted in July?
The new DuckTales comics have art and illustrations based on the designs of the characters from the new show.
I personally like to collect the variant retailer incentive covers of the DuckTales comic because each one features art for a new featured DuckTales character on each issue’s cover. I also purchase the DuckTales trade paperbacks which are a collection of comics in one nicely packaged book.
Trade paperbacks are a good way to catch up on comics that you may have missed. Currently DuckTales # 11 is releasing in comic stores. There have been two trade paperbacks released so far. Treasure Trove includes DuckTales issues #0-2. Mysteries and Mallards includes issues #3-5. The size of the books are a little smaller than a standard size comic book, but I did not find it any harder to read.
It would be well worth your time to read through these books during the break between DuckTales season 1 and season 2. DuckTales issue #2 and issue #3 each include two stories that feature the adventures of Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck, and Della Duck. That’s right Della Duck is in these comics and you can read about four of her adventures before season 2 by checking out those comics.
You can order the first two DuckTales trade paperbacks from Amazon at the following links:

The next trade paperback, DuckTales: Quests and Quacks, featuring issues #6-8 will be released on October 9th, 2018.
