Review & Preview – IDW’s DuckTales #11

You know we enjoy Disney Duck comics, and we have been enjoying IDW’s DuckTales. Recently on the podcast we were discussing how these comics offer readers additional information about characters and storylines that add to the show. This month’s issue offers two great stories that both feature Scrooge McDuck!

Story A is titled “Horror in the Highlands!” It tells a story about Scrooge, Webby, Huey, and Launchpad return to Scotland prove that Scrooge is from Clan McDuck. While in his hometown Scrooge solve the mystery and there is a huge guest appearance of one of our favorite characters (it’s only a spoiler if you know)!

Story B is titled “Nightmare on Bear Mountain!” If you’ve been following our blog and podcast you may know that we have been reading through the classic comics. I know Bear Mountain is an important Carl Barks story (“Christmas on Bear Mountain” was the first story to include Scrooge McDuck. Because I haven’t read that story yet, and I haven’t read any of Rosa’s stories that might include Bear Mountain there may be details that I’ve missed. In the story Scrooge has gone missing. Dewey convinces Mrs. Beakley and Launchpad to go after him.
