It is the most wonderful time of the year, no not Christmas, MegaCon Orlando season. As a proud Central Florida resident, I look forward to MegaCon Orlando every year. The popular event has grown in size and popularity each year that it is right up there with SDCC, NYCC, and Dragon Con. DuckTalks has had the pleasure of covering the event the past few years, and we will definitely be back at the Orlando Convention Center for all four days of MegaCon Orlando March 30th – April 2nd.

It is hard to pick a favorite thing about MegaCon with the insane cosplays, epic vendors, amazing celebrity guest lists, and talented artist alley of comic creators. MegaCon Orlando is such a solid epic time.

I can tell you that my favorite comic creator year and ultimate MegaCon Orlando highlight was in 2019 when James Silvani (Darkwing Duck Legend), Amy Mebberson, and Joe Caramagna were in attendance. I have also had the pleasure of spending a lot of time talking to Don Rosa at multiple MegaCon events. We talked about everything except DuckTales.

2023 is such a big comic year for Disney Afternoon fans. The Dynamite Comics Gargoyles and Darkwing Duck series are getting Disney Afternooniverse fans back into comic shops. It feels great to have a pull list again. After studying the MegaCon Orlando 2023 Comic Creator guest list, I quickly discovered that there are more than a few comic artists that have worked on covers for both the Gargoyles and Darkwing Duck comic series. This blog will highlight those talented individuals that you can meet, buy some art, and have some cool stuff signed at the convention. After the convention, I will have a recap from meeting some of these special guests.

Out of the 100+ great artists that will be in attendance at MegaCon Orlando 2023, eleven artists have worked on covers for either the new Darkwing Duck or Gargoyles Dynamite Comics series.

Disclaimer: These artists are legends for a lot of different comics that they have worked on, but I will only be listing and featuring their Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles comic covers that will have been released before MegaCon Orlando 2023 in case any of our readers want to get books signed.

Gator Guard Comics who sells a mighty fine do it yourself comic slab display case will also be in attendance at one of the booths. I can not recommend Gator Guard cases enough to protect and display your favorite comics. I imagine that I will need to buy some additional cases after getting some of my Gargoyles and Darkwing Duck books signed.
