Diamond Select Toys is currently ten series into their the Nightmare Before Christmas select figure line. For fans who may not have collected since the figure line debuted, DST has started to re-release some of the most popular characters in a “Best of” The Nightmare Before Christmas select series.
Our friends at Diamond Select Toys sent over their Dr. Finklestien figure to showcase on the blog for this review.
Packaging
Dr. Finkelstein comes in a well themed Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas window packaging that could allow you to display the figure in the box. The back of the box has a picture of the figure as well as a description of the character. The other two figures in this series, Sally and Pumpkin King Jack Skellington, are also previewed from Diamond Select Toys’ The Nightmare Before Christmas “Best of” Series 2.
Dr. Finkelstein
The brilliant doctor comes with his wheel chair. The wheels on the chair do actually move. Dr. Finkelstein has five points of articulation which includes his head, arms (2), and legs (2). He is not attached to the chair, but he is permanently molded into a seated position. Dr. Finkelstein is in the chair the whole movie except for when the wheel chair falls over in a scene.
The box advertises a removable brain. The brain does not actually remove from the figure, but you can lift the top of his skull to reveal his brain.
Accessories
There are no additional accessories besides his wheel chair.

Dr. Finkelstein’s caretaker, Sally, is available separately in this “Best of” series.

Final Thoughts
Dr. Finklestein will look great in your The Nightmare Before Christmas, Halloween, or Christmas display. He looks very accurate to how he appeared in the film, and his wheel chair accessory is very detailed. He does not come with any additional accessories, but I am not sure that there is anything else that I would need for him besides his chair. Diamond Select Toys has done a scary good job with their The Nightmare Before Christmas figure line, and Dr. Finklestein is up there with Oogie Boogie as the best figures in the series.
