Ch-ch-ch-Chip ‘n Dale
Rescue Rangers!
Ch-ch-ch-Chip ‘n Dale
When there’s danger
Oh no, it never fails
Once they’re involved
Somehow whatever’s wrong gets solved
Man that Chip ‘N Dale Rescue Rangers theme song really pops!
I don’t think even the super sleuths of the Rescue Rangers could have seen that the show would be getting a big physical media release in 2022. We are in the Age of Disney+, where all of the episodes of Chip ‘N Dale Rescue Rangers are available to stream in HD. There is still a big market for fans that like to own physical copies of all of their favorite movies and show. The last big physical media release of a DTVA show was in 2018 when Shout Factory released a collector’s edition of the complete series of Gravity Falls (40 episodes) on both Blu-ray and DVD.
Disney Home Media has released DVD sets of DTVA and Disney Afternoon shows before, but a lot of times the episodes are out of order, a compilation set, or they are short a volume of episodes. Chip ‘N Dale Rescue Rangers has had DVD volume releases, but the two released volumes only included 51 of the 65 episodes of the series.
This new complete series release will be a six disc set of all 65 episodes. There are no bonus features mentioned for this release. The series will first release on January 25th, 2022 to Disney Movie Club members. The official wide release date will be February 15th, 2022.
Order: Chip ‘N’ Dale Rescue Rangers Complete Series Blu-Ray (Amazon)
Is this to test the waters for other DTVA Blu-ray releases or to promote the new Chip ‘N Dale Rescue Rangers live action movie coming this Spring? The complete series of Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventures was also announced for release the same day (1/25/21). Could DuckTales, Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin, Gargoyles, DuckTales (2017) be released at some point down the road?
Let us know what you think about this Chip ‘N Dale Rescue Rangers Complete Series Blu-Ray release in the comments below or tweet us @DuckTalks.
This is great, but I would really, REALLY want Disney’s “Adventures of the Gummi Bears” in HD!
Maybe they’re testing the waters with this one (although Disney+ has had it in HD since it was released on the platform, right)?! They’d likely release “The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” on Blu-ray next, if this one’s selling, as that one has already been converted to HD as well…
Disney, please show some more love to the Bears that started it all for you on TV!!! ❤

Do we know yet if this is a multi-language disc set, and if so, which languages are represented? I’m hoping that at least all of the major European languages are on here, but a bit worried that chances are rather slim, with this being a (U.S.) Disney Movie Club exclusive release…

The listing on the Disney Movie Club website does not give any specs on the release except for the product description that it will be six discs with all 65 episodes. Luckily we only have less than a month to wait until the release to find out more.

Meh, it’s US only. That means I’m out. (Disney really loves to make it difficult for non US citizens, am I right?)

Hello everyone!
I just got the Blu-Rays in the mail early yesterday. Here is some information that I think will be helpful:
1) The picture quality is stunning. It looks like they went through and cleaned up any debris on the film. (I’ve only seen three episodes so far, but the colors pop and visually it’s everything I’d want in an HD-release of my favorite cartoon from childhood.)
2) Thankfully, the show is in its original aspect ratio of full-screen, 1.33:1. I was so worried they were going to zoom and crop it like the ones that are on Disney+.
3) The only audio is English Language Track 2.0 with English subtitles.
4) Disney did make one MINOR change to these episodes, which some (like me) might find irksome and others might not mind. Anyone who originally watched this show on television can remember that there were two commercial breaks, usually about 1/3rd of the way through and then 2/3rds of the way through. (The second break was almost always during a cliffhanger scene where the Rescue Rangers were in some peril.) Well, from what I’ve seen so far, there’s a nip & tuck where Disney has spliced the end of the second segment with the start of the third segment so there’s no dramatic fade-to-black to the commercial. It’s a little jarring as far as the rhythm is concerned, especially if you have seen these episodes as many times as hardcore fans probably have. I would have preferred that they keep the episodes in their original edit with the dramatic commercial breaks, but some people might not even notice or might not even care. I just thought it was worth pointing out for any interested buyers.
5) There is NO labeling on the discs or the inserts indicating which episodes are on which disc which is why I just took 15 minutes to pop in each disc and write out the episode #’s for each disc below. Please copy and paste and share this wherever you think other fans of the series will find it helpful.
