Donald’s Dino-HOLIDAY-Bash?

It’s no secret that Walt Disney World loves to celebrate the holidays. Whether it’s watching it snow down Main Street U.S.A., sampling how other cultures celebrate the season at Epcot or watching a spectacular projection show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it’s an extra magical time to visit.

You’ll notice that one park may be mysteriously absent from the examples above, and it just happens to be one of our favorites ever since they introduced Donald’s Dino-Bash! a year ago. Now that it’s become a permanent staple at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, guests can meet Donald, Daisy, Scrooge McDuck and Launchpad year round.

Now it looks like everyone’s favorite Disney ducks are about to get in the holiday celebrations this year, after an announcement today from Disney Parks Blog. For the first time, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be getting a complete holiday celebration, and Dinoland U.S.A., where Donald’s Dino-Bash! is located, will be included.

Take a look at what the announcement said:

Over in Dinoland, U.S.A., all the Disney character friends gathered for Donald’s Dino-Bash! get into the spirit with colorful holiday decorations in the style of Donald Duck and each of his pals, and at night, you’re invited to gather ‘round Truck-O-Saurus for the Holiday Hoopla Dance Party with Chip ‘n Dale and plenty of interactive fun and games.

While there aren’t many specifics in the announcement, we’re excited to see what the Disney Imagineer’s have in store when the celebration starts November 8, 2019.

Last year, we saw some decor added to the character meet and greets around Dinoland, U.S.A., so what extras might we get now that there will be a full holiday overlay announced?

Meeting Donald last November

It’s probably safe to say that the characters will get some new accessories for their Dino-Bash outfits. This seems to be typical of meet and greets around the holidays, and we saw the Woody, Jessie and Buzz get small holiday touches last year in Toy Story Land and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The Parks Blog specifically says “colorful holiday decorations in the style of Donald Duck and each of his pals,” which sounds specifically interesting. What does a Donald Duck holiday decoration look like? Is it safe to say Scrooge will have some dollar signs as part of his?

Whatever they have planned, it’ll definitely be another reason to spend some extra time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this November and December. Besides, with Scrooge financing the Dino-Bash, we’re sure no expense will be spared – well, within reason, right? (You don’t become the richest duck in the world without knowing how to save, after all.)

We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more details are revealed. Until then, let us know if you’ll be heading to Donald’s Dino-Bash! this holiday season and what surprises you think may be in store!
