I can’t wait to see the full listing of Disney Afternoon stories that will be featured in this volume, but for now we know three stories that are confirmed:
- Flight of the Sky-Raker (TaleSpin)
- Dime After Dime (DuckTales)
- For the Love of Cheese (Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers)
Flight of the Skyraker is a two part story from issues one and two of the Disney’s TaleSpin comic which debuted June 1991.
“Flight of the Sky-Raker: Part 1” — Following an Air Pirates, Baloo, Kit, and Wildcat set down on an uncharted desert island where they discover Lily Ravenwood, the daughter of the late Prof. Harrison Ravenwood. She has been here with a special experimental airplane, thought lost for the last two years. Shere Khan had once struggled to obtain the airplane from Ravenwood, and will stop at nothing to get it today.
“Flight of the Sky-Raker: Part 2 (Operation Ravenwood!)” — The Higher for Hire airplane transport company is in trouble when sky-pirate Don Karnage is in town.
“Dime After Dime” is a DuckTales comic story originally published in Disney Adventures Volume 1, Number 6 (April 1990). That was the issue that featured Weird Al Yankovic and Launchpad McQuack in a spaceship on the cover. “Dime After Dime” is notable for marking the first appearance of Minima De Spell.
“For the Love of Cheese!” The Rangers travel to the Swiss Alps to join forces with Jacques De Brie4, the continental mouse of mystery, and do battle with the sinister Pawprint Gang!
Additional stories from this volume will include stories from Darkwing Duck, Adventures of the Gummi Bears, and more.
We will have more info on this exciting release as it gets closer to the release date.
This volume is going to look great next to Disney Afternoon Adventures Vol. 1 that featured Darkwing Duck on the cover. If you missed that released, you can order it at the link below.
