It’s time to review some Muppets merch on the DuckTalks blog tonight.
Diamond Select Toys has repackaged some of their previous Muppets action figure releases into their new Best of Muppets product line.
Our great friends at Diamond Select Toys sent over their Best of Muppets series 3 figures for us to check out and review on our blog. Today we will take a closer look at the Animal with drum set figure pack. This figure was previously released individually by Diamond Select Toys in Muppets Select Series 2. Animal was also a part of the SDCC 2020 exclusive Electric Mayhem figure set.
Packaging
The front of the box has a window that displays all of the figures and accessories that are included with this figure pack.
The back of the box shows pictures of the other two figure packs that are in Diamond Select Toys Best of Muppets Series 3.
Animal
Animal! Animal! Animal! Animal is the wild drummer of the Electric Mayhem band. Animal has 17 points of articulation.
Animal’s mouth can open and close.
Accessories
The Diamond Select Toys Best of Muppets figure packs are full of great muppetsational accessories.
Animal comes with a full drum set.

Final Thoughts
Animal is one of my favorite Muppets. Who doesn’t love a great drummer? I like that the Animal action figure’s mouth can open and close which allows you to display multiple emotions. Animal would look great displayed with your Muppets as well as mixed in with your non Muppets figures.

The action figure is great, as it has many more joints than the previous one by Palisades Toys from about 20 years ago (that this whole line is partly based on).
My only complaint would be that the Palisades Animal is even more expressive, as his eyebrows are also movable (fully up and down) — would’ve been so great if they had included that joint here as well!
PS: Thanks for making the images “clickable” again! The feature had quickly vanished with your last review (the Floyd and Janice one, I believe).
