One of Orlando’s biggest conventions will be making a comeback this week with MegaCon Orlando 2021. MegaCon Orlando will take place August 12th-15th.

The world has been through a lot since MegaCon Orlando last took the stage at the Orange County Convention Center in 2019. We covered the event in 2019 as part of the media, and it was an absolute blast of an event. The celebrity guests and comic guests lineup was absolutely stacked. I spent a great deal of time looking at all of the things for sale in the show room floor’s booths, and I came home with quite a few treasures and memories. MegaCon Orlando 2020 unfortunately did not go on as scheduled last year. The convention organizers tried to reschedule the event from the spring to the winter, but as we know the world’s situation remained the same.

I will be in attendance at MegaCon Orlando 2021 this Saturday to again provide media coverage from the event for those that are unable to attend. Masks are mandatory, which is absolutely the right decision. Hand sanitizing stations will be everywhere. MegaCon Orlando is taking all the necessary precautions to make this con safe.

The Phantom Blot, Giancarlo Esposito, will be in attendance. I really wish I had some DuckTales 2017 Phantom Blot merch for him to sign. Other headline guests include Mary Poppins himself, Michael Rooker. Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, and the lead singer of Jessie and the Rippers will have a Q & A Panel that I am sure will bring a Full House.
