Beast Kingdom D-Stage (DS-029) Donald Duck’s Boat Review

Beast Kingdom’s D-Stage product line gives popular characters a diorama stage to bring more life to your figure collection without taking up additional space. There is a lot of details poured into each of these 7 inch scale figures. Our friends at Beast Kingdom sent over some D-Stage samples for us to showcase on the blog.

Today we will be taking a look at Beast Kingdom’s D-Stage figure for Donald Duck’s Boat. Donald has had a boat ever since his first appearance in The Wise Little Hen. His boat back then was not as impressive as the vessel represented in this D-Stage release. He has had a house boat on a lake in many different animated series. His boat also appears in Mickey’s Toontown at Disney Parks and is named the Miss Daisy.

All Beast Kingdom D-Stage figures come in clear plastic boxes which prominently displays all sides except for the back of the figure. You could display this figure in box if you really wanted to, but my recommendation would be to take it out of the box to enjoy all of the details.

Donald Duck’s Boat (DS-029)

Donald looks great captaining his boat. The color scheme of the boat matches Donald’s colors, and the top of the boat is made to look like his hat.

On the port side of Donald’s boat, you can see a fishing pole has caught a boot.

Final Thoughts

This a quality Donald Duck item to put on your desk or shelves. A person can never have enough Donald Duck figures. This figure will look amazing displayed next to the DuckTales D-Stage figure releasing later this year. I would love to see a Donald D-Stage for my favorite Donald Duck animated short Trick-or-Treat or a Three Caballeros D-Stage figure.

Donald’s Boat is a great memory for me of visiting Mickey’s Toontown Fair at Walt Disney World and Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland. The Chip ‘n Dale Treehouse from Mickey’s Toontown has also been recreated by Beast Kingdom in D-Stage (DS-028) form if you are interested in building your own Mickey’s Toontown.
