One of the earliest images of the DuckTales’ content added to Disney Magic Kingdoms included images of Scrooge’s Money Bin, but we hadn’t seen the building in the game until today!

That’s the good news. The bad news is that it was added as a prize for the Trouble In The Kingdom: Cursed Creatures leaderboard.

The event seems simple enough. Send characters on activities that earn tokens that can be used to defeat cursed creatures, but what about the prizes. For all ranks outside of the top 100 the prizes are simple blueprints that are used to enchant existing buildings (upgrade), but the top one hundred also earn… Scrooge’s Money Bin.

My Update!

I am still enjoying Magic Kingdoms. I’ve experienced some great accomplishments as well as son frustrations.

My DuckTales float continues to aid me in my quest to earn the nephews and Scrooge. I need 600 gems to purchase Scrooge McDuck and every parade has a chance of adding five gems to my total. The Dimes help earn and upgrade all three nephews, and the plane is currently helping me earn Dewey Duck.

I have Donald and I’ve upgraded him to Level 5. He helps earn the tokens that I need for the nephews.

I’ve also added Donald’s Boat and I’ve upgraded it to the second enchantment. The boat has a chance of tokens for upgrading Donald.

I am still working toward earning Scrooge and resisting the urge to drop $9.99 on his bundle. I’m nearing the halfway point… one of these days…

Huey is now at Level 3. I mostly use him to farm the Dimes I need to earn his brothers. I like that the animations are different between the nephews.

I am SO close to earning Dewey Duck! Three more planes until he is added to my cast.

And then I’ll move on to Louie (my childhood favorite).

I’m still working toward my goals. That $9.99 bundle haunts my dreams sometimes… but once I hit that midway point I feel it will be less tempting.
