If MegaCon Orlando wasn’t big enough with its announced celebrity guest list, some recent additions to the comic guest lineup has made it a must attend event for the Duck community in the Southeast.

We were able to secure Media passes from MegaCon Orlando. We plan on attending to cover the event from the DuckTales/Disney Afternoon point of view.

MegaCon Orlando 2019 will take place at the Orange County Convention Center from May 16-19.

Celebrity Guests

David Tennant (Scrooge McDuck Voice Actor) will be appearing Friday and Saturday. A picture with David and/or an autograph on some of the new DuckTales merch including the Scrooge McDuck PhatMojo figure would be sweet!

Jim Cummings (Darkwing Duck)…Jim Cummings will be appearing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. He is not only the voice of Darkwing Duck, but he has a major voice role in most of the Disney Afternoon shows. I had Jim sign a Darkwing Duck Funko POP for me at a convention, and it is my favorite Darkwing Duck piece in my collection. Jim will reprise his voice work as Darkwing Duck on DuckTales in the episode The Duck Knight Returns! which airs this Friday.

Peter Cullen (Monterey Jack Voice Actor from Chip N’ Dale Rescue Rangers Season 1) will be appearing Thursday and Friday.

Jess Harnell (Splash Mountain)…Jess Harnell is a talented Voice Actor who has voiced characters in many Disney Afternoon shows and Wakko Warner in the Animanics, but we are excited to hear that he will be at MegaCon because he is the voice of Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox from one of our favorite Magic Kingdom attractions, Splash Mountain.

Danielle Fischel (Topanga from Boy Meets World) will be appearing Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. What does Danielle Fischel have to do with the Disney Afternoon? Absolutely nothing, but come on it is freaking Topanga. How am I not going to include her on this list. The other main cast members from Boy Meets World will also be in attendance.

Comic Guests

Joe Caramagna (DuckTales Comic Writer) will be appearing Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Table PA085

We have socialized on Twitter with Joe since the new DuckTales comic launched 20 issues ago, and we can’t wait to finally meet him in person at MegaCon and get some DuckTales comics swag signed. Also, Joe is known for being able to be bribed with doughnuts so let’s show him the best of what Orlando has to offer. Joe is also a major advocate of the Ronald McDonald’s organization in which he donates profits from sales at his booth. Get to Joe’s booth early before he runs out of DuckTales comics.

James Silvani (Darkwing Duck Comic Illustrator/Con Legend) will be appearing Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Table PA083

I have been to two conventions in California where James has made appearances, and I would tell anyone that preordering a commission sketch from James is the best money that you will spend at any convention that he is in attendance. Hurry to his table before his commission preorder list fills up. James will also have character headshots and fullshot sketches for sale at his table as well as some of his books including his must own new sketchbook, Combo Platter. I also need to get my Darkwing Duck Definitively Dangerous Edition book signed.

Amy Mebberson (Disney Princess Comics and Toys) will be appearing Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Amy is definitely a member of #TeamDarkwing and has worked on the Darkwing Duck BOOM comics. Amy’s Disney Princess comics has led to a really fun toy line that she designed for Hasbro. Go check out her booth and purchase her new sketchbook, Classy Broads.
