Disney Channel Fan Fest 2019

Disney Channel Fan Fest is coming back to Disneyland on Saturday, April 27th.

Flash-back to last year:

Disney Channel Fan Fest took place on May 7th last year, and it was a great event that promoted several Disney Channel shows including DuckTales. The event was perfect timing for DuckTales which was making the transition from Disney XD to Disney Channel after almost a 6 month hiatus. The event brought great awareness to the show, and many of the cast and crew were present at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure that day. The DuckTales voice actors that were present included: David Tennant, Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, Bobby Moynihan, Kate Micucci, Toks Olagundoye. The voice actors and crew were in a cavalcade parade down Disneyland’s Main Street USA. The highlight of the event was a table read from the voice actors for an at the time unaired episode of DuckTales, McMystery at McDuck McManor!. You can see a great video of the read through that was thankfully live-streamed and archived by the Disney Channel YouTube channel.

DuckTales voice actors also had meet and greets where you could get signatures if you had a wristband.

Flash-forward to this year’s event:

DuckTales had a large presence last year, but it will have to share the animation stage with other hit shows this year. Descendants 3 will also be one of the headliners of this year’s event. Here are notable times to pay attention for DuckTales fans.

11 a.m. PDT Disney Channel Fan Fest Cavalcade

3 p.m. PDT Disney Channel Animation Celebration featuring DuckTales, BigCity Greens, and Amphibia

We do not know who will be at the event representing DuckTales, but it looks like there may be an opportunity for meet and greets through the same wristband process.

Celebrity meet-and-greet experiences will be available for fans with wristband distribution at park opening hour on a first come, first served basis and while supplies last.

I do think this is a great fan event for Southern California fans of the show to attend. It is especially worth it if you are already an annual pass holder for Disneyland since this is not a hard ticketed event and is included with park admission. I only wish Walt Disney World got this same love and fan events.
