I know that everyone is still trying to recover from that amazing DuckTales Season 1 Finale episode, but I thought it would be fun to speculate on when we might expect to see new episodes of DuckTales air on the Disney Channel.
The good news is that the Season 2: Episode 1 will be in 2018.
The LA Times published an article yesterday about Paget Brewster who provided the voice for Della Duck in the season 1 finale episode and will be voicing her in Season 2 as well.

Here are two of my guesses:
So before the end of this year eh…
We know that the Disney Channel loves holiday programming. For example, during the month of October, Disney Channel will air supernatural or monster or Halloween episodes of their shows all month long. DuckTales definitely has some episodes that could fall into that category from season 1 that they could use this year. There were some incredible clay animation shorts featuring Disney characters and the Haunted Mansion. The Huey, Dewey, and Louie short features the boys trying to solve the mystery of the Haunted Mansion bride’s ring.
It would be incredible if they delivered a new Halloween episode this year. One of my all time favorite Donald Duck cartoons was Trick Or Treat. It would be a great DuckTales episode to introduce Witch Hazel who appeared in that Trick Or Treat cartoon as well as Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge comics.
A Christmas episode is happening this year. In Season 1, we got a winter episode The Impossible Summit of Mt. Neverrest! that mentions a rivalry that Scrooge has with Santa. Scrooge delivers the line: “That man is not allowed in my home, he knows what he did.” It would be great to have an episode where we see “what he did”.
Santa even makes Webby’s list of Scrooge’s enemies on her board.
At the DuckTales panel at SDCC this year, several new characters to appear in season 2 were revealed in an image slideshow.
The first image revealed was a group of characters that look like the ghosts from Mickey’s Christmas Carol.
So the longest we would have to wait would be December for the Christmas episode featuring the three new characters above. I don’t think that is too long to wait for what was in my opinion the greatest animated show that ever aired. Don’t @ me unless you agree.
