So if you followed this link I am going to assume you are familiar with the animated Disney show known as Gravity Falls. A few weeks back it was revealed that the creator of the show, Alex Hirsch, has worked out a deal between Disney And Shout! Factory to release a box set containing the entire series.
The 7 disc set contains all 40 episodes of the show. It will be available in both DVD and Blu-ray formats, and they will be available on July 24th. The discs will include special features including audio commentaries, shorts, and a making of documentary that includes interviews with the cast and the crew! The box set will retail for $59.97 for DVD and $99.99 for Blu-ray.
So why would a DuckTales fan site blog about a Gravity Falls box set? One we are fans of GF and we are excited about this release. Secondly, this release is special and may impact DT17. Disney does not release box sets of its series very often. At best we typically see volume sets that may not be in order, may not contain all of the episodes, and definitely do not include special features. The success of this box set may in fact impact the home release of DuckTales 2017.
