My Recap
*STOP READING HERE IF YOU WANT TO AVOID ALL SPOILERS*
The ducks have finally made it out of Duckburg on a treasure hunt to Eendstad in search of the Three Good Eggs in this new duck tale titled “Who? What? Where?” Huey, Dewey, and Louie keep getting accused of being really bad eggs by all of the townspeople of Eendstad. The Three Good Eggs takes Scrooge and the boys to the Ye Olde Mill where they find an old duck. Their talk with the old duck is interrupted my a tall fellow in a trench coat who end up being triplet ducks named Kwik, Kwek, and Kwak. They look identical to Scrooge’s nephews except they wear purple, yellow, and orange. These are the ducks who Huey, Dewey, and Louie were misidentified as by the Eendstadians. The old duck will give Scrooge the Three Good Eggs if his nephews teach them how to be good eggs. Huey, Dewey, and Louie are angry about Kwik, Kwek, and Kwak making them look bad. A brawl breaks out between the sets of triplets, but in the end the bad set of triplets decide to apologize to the whole town for their bad behavior. Scrooge is rewarded with the Three Good Eggs by the old duck as a reward for her nephews demonstrating that they too could be good eggs.

This issue was the first one in the series to not include the interstitial comic story flashbacks. I did enjoy those tributes to classic Disney Duck comics, but I like that we had a full comic devoted to the duck tale of the family visiting Eendstad. This story taking place outside of Duckburg was a good change of pace, and I am looking forward to the next adventure which is teased to feature more of the DuckTales cast of characters. This issue was released a month after the previous issue. So we may be getting back on schedule with regular monthly issues.
DuckTales fans, it is time to Woo-oo again!

The next Dynamite adventure of DuckTales will crash land safely into your local comic book shop tentatively in September…maybe? Be sure to check out the other current Dynamite Comics Disney releases: Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles Demona, and Zootopia.

We had the pleasure of interviewing the illustrator, Tommaso Ronda on this ducktacular new series. You can read that interview here: Tommaso Ronda Interview.
