My Recap

*STOP READING HERE IF YOU WANT TO AVOID ALL SPOILERS*

It has only been a few weeks since the previous issue which I believe will help the momentum of this series after some long hiatuses between issues. The title of the story in this issue is Viewpoint Break. Chief Bogo assigns Judy and Nick to look into some thefts at the Viewpoint Terrace. Our favorite cops are finally landing the big assignments due to their great detective work, but it may also have to do with the fact that Viewpoint Terrace is near by Little Rodentia. Judy and Nick are a more fitting size than other Zootopia cops for that area in case a chase breaks out.

Interviews take place with several of the Viewpoint Terrace’s residents. We get to meet several new Zootopia characters of which Alessandro Ranaldi does an amazing job adding new animals to the Zootopia Franchise. Some of the items that were reported stolen from the building included a stereo system, Chummel, some silver jewelry, and art. Ranaldi added a Hidden Mickey Mouse painting on the wall of the artist’s apartment that you will have to be on the lookout for.

The Z-Channel Influencer Daredevils from the first issue make a return appearance. This time they are suspects as they are found live streaming jumps from the top of Viewpoint Terrace. Nick goes undercover as their number one fan and follower. They talk Nick into putting on a wingsuit and joining them for a video. During the jump, Nick discovers that a drone is breaking into apartments via the windows and stealing the resident’s belongings. Judy finds a buffalo in a trench coat remote controlling the drone. The buffalo flees from Judy into Little Rodentia, but Nick and the daredevils are able to fly in and capture the buffalo with the help of their wingsuits, The buffalo is not the main culprit behind all of the jobs in the previous issues. He was just working a job from the anonymous big boss. We have a couple of issues left to find out the identity of the big boss behind all of these crimes.

Zootopia #4 (Storybook Art)

This is a wild comic series to get you pumped up for Zootopia 2 which will be in theaters later this year. The new animals and locations feel like they seemlessly belong in the Zootopiaverse. Alessandro Ranaldi’s art continues to impress as the art feels like it could be part of a Zootopia animated series.
