With the furry felons’ contact inside the exclusive resort still a mystery, Officers Hopps and Wilde go undercover as new members to try and catch the culprit red-handed (or -pawed, or -hoofed). Their first discovery? It turns out that there are way worse places to conduct surveillance than lying poolside in a lounge chair with waiter service!

My Recap
*STOP READING HERE IF YOU WANT TO AVOID ALL SPOILERS*
It has been a couple of months since our last visit to Zootopia. Luckily, Office Clawhauser gives readers a quick gossip recap how the last issue ended. Nick and Judy are still on the case of finding the boss behind the blimp crash at the new phone event. The previous issue had Nick undercover working at the Zootopia recycling and waste containment facility with Judy hiding in a trash bag waiting to be collected by nocturnal theifs.
Nick and Judy stop by the Usedtopia thrift shop to look for some valuables to throw into a bag as part of the handoff to the big boss. You never know what you will find at the Usedtopia. There is especially a really fun item familiar to me that can be found on one of the shelves. Nick and Judy purchase some items and deliver the bag along with a tracker to a boat in the canal district.
That last mission exhausted Nick and Judy. Chief Bogo has them interrogate the criminals that they stopped in the last issue. The criminals fall asleep during questioning, but they end up being sleep talkers and give up the location of the next pickup. Nick and Judy’s next undercover mission is at a country club where they play the roles of Rick and Trudy. Trudy, I mean Judy, is starting to get the hang of undercover work. Nick impresses her by how good he is at it by always being quick with his answers and knowing how to stretch the truth. The Spinybrook country club is a nice new Zootopia location. We get to meet a new white fox character named Leeza. She runs the country club. This series has consistently added new fun animal characters in each issue. Not all of the country club animals are what they seem, and Rick and Trudy catch a thief who is stealing precious metal items from other country club members for money to help pay his membership. He offers to cooperate in the case by giving up the hot spot of the crime operation if Spinybrook Country Club does not press charges.

This is a wild comic series to get you pumped up for Zootopia 2 which will be in theaters later this year. The new animals and locations feel like they seemlessly belong in the Zootopiaverse. Alessandro Ranaldi’s art continues to impress as the art feels like it could be part of a Zootopia animated series.
