Will the pair patiently wait the 30 years that it will take for an amendment to the treaty to be passed by the Federation bureaucracy?
My Recap
*STOP READING HERE IF YOU WANT TO AVOID ALL SPOILERS*
All of Lilo’s new monster friends have been enrolled in Aloha Animal Rescue dog obedience class. Lilo’s frenemy Mertle is also in the class with her dog Baxter. The monsters have challenges in the obedient class as expected. It is discovered that the monsters act up because they miss their parents who have been locked up in a Zoological Garden as part of a treaty that the Galactic Federation made with the Entobian Consortium. The treaty could take thirty years to amend. So Lilo wants to take action, but as an official of the Galactic Federation any action against the treaty may start a war. An enlarged Baxter attacks the Zoological Garden and frees the parents of Lilo’s monster friends. Since Baxter is not a member of the Galactic Federation nor the Consortium, no war will break out for going against the treaty. The monsters are enlarged again, and they are happy to be back with their parents. Lilo returns to Hawaii with Stitch to be with her own Ohana.
This issue wraps up the second story arc in Dynamite Comics Lilo & Stitch series. My six year old absolutely loved this comic series. I could see Dynamite releasing more issues down the road as everything Stitch is still insanely popular with Disney fans young and old, but for now there are no future issues listed in upcoming comic solicitations. A second trade paperback/hardcover collected edition of Lilo & Stitch will be released next year that will include issues #5-8.
You and your Ohana are going to love this Lilo & Stitch comic series.
Be sure to check out the other current Dynamite Comics Disney releases: DuckTales and Gargoyles Winter Special.
Coming soon: Zootopia (January), Darkwing Duck (February), Gargoyles Demona (May), and The Nightmare Before Christmas
