Today, we will take a look at Gargoyles Quest #4 published by Dynamite Comics.

We are defenders of the night. We are Gargoyles.

Gargoyles Quest’s fourth chapter is tilted “Uneqiuivocal Success”. It is Thanksgiving 1997, Demona is ready to ruin your eating plans. She is in possession of the Three New Keys of Power: Necklace of Cleopatra, Lance of Fate, and Puck’s Flute. Demona is now ready to become the master of human puppets. The necklace has the power to bend the humans’ will. The lance will allow her to set her targetwhich is ALL HUMANS. The enchanting sounds of Puck’s flute will make the humans happy to be enthralled. The Gargoyles Quest story and especially this issue has the same feel of the classic Gargoyles animated series four part episode “City of Stone”. Demona’s plan is working flawlessly as she has most of the human residents of Manhattan including David Xanatos, Fox, Owen, and Elisa Maza under her control. The stage is set for an epic finale issue as the Manhattan clan of Gargoyles take on Demona or maybe they phone it in…just kidding. Greg Weisman’s words and Pasquale Qualano’s art are authentically and distinctly Gargoyles.

Three months was a very long time to wait for this issue of Gargoyles Quest. Maybe the delay was deliberate to line up the issue’s release with Thanksgiving. Let’s go with that. I am very thankful for this series. Hopefully, the final issue will be released as scheduled next month because this has been an epic series of Gargoyles content that deserves to go out strong with the heat and momentum from the conclusion of this issue. Gargoyles fans are eating well.
