My Review

The story in this issue is titled “Sun on the Run!”. Our heroes return to Mount Olympus to consult with Zeus, Aphrodite, and the rest of the gods about their theory that Hades is behind the missing gods. Somebody, maybe Hades, beat them to Mount Olympus because the place is deserted. Apollo’s Sun Chariot is out of. Ingrid and heads straight towards them without Apollo guiding the horses. Hercules tries to punch and throw the sun back into orbit, but the sun becomes too hot to handle. Luckily, Galatea being made of stone is able to hold the sun. We do get to see one god who has not been captured, Atlas. Atlas would help Hercules, but he has the important job of holding up the sky.

Hercules is very convinced that the lead bad person is Hades, and he is prepared to go to the Underworld to bring his father, mother, and the rest of the gods back. Meanwhile, we see who has actually captured the gods, and it is definitely not Hades. I am not going to reveal the main villain god of this series, but your hint is that she is a fan of riddles. The last page of this issue features a glorious illustration of the new villain god that will get a lot of time in future issues.

This was another fun Herculean adventure in the case of the missing gods. Atlas is a pretty important god in Greek mythology that did not make an appearance in the Hercules movie. It was great seeing this important god drawn by George Kambadais. I really hope he does not go missing because holding up the sky is an important job. I also loved the look of the new surprise villain god, and I think you will like her too. Megara has a lot of great dialogue in this issue proving again that Elliott Kalan really gets Meg.
