WE LIVE AGAIN! I never get tired of saying that as we continue to get new Gargoyles merch 30 years after the series debuted on the Disney Afternoon. This is not Funko’s first time gliding into the Gargoyles franchise as they released a full series of Gargoyles Funko POP! figures in 2018. Funko’s latest Gargoyles product is a new Funko POP! of my favorite gargoyle, Demona, in a more dynamic pose.

Let’s take a look at the packaging.

Packaging

The new Demona Funko POP! figure comes packaged in the standard Funko POP! box with a window view of the figure inside. You can choose to display in box or take the figure out of the box so that it can breathe and live its life. I am definitely an out of box collector.

There are no other gargoyles previews on the back of the box which indicates that this is a stand alone release at this time. Other Disney Afternoon villains were recently available this summer as part of an NFT Funko Digital POP! drop with some redeemable character figures.

Demona

This is a lot more menacing of a Demona than we saw in the initial Funko POP! release in 2018. This is the Demona that I love. Her tail helps her stand with no issues which is definitely a plus when trying to display some Funko POP! figures.

Comparison

We will now compare this new Demona Funko POP! figure with the 2018 release. I love having both of the figures in my collection as they show two different sides of Demona. The new figure’s colors definitely are more vibrant and pop more. The original version also was available in a mini Funko POP! key chain size.

Final Thoughts

This figure would look amazing in any Gargoyles fan’s collection. Hopefully, this figure sells well and we get more Gargoyles Funko POP! figures in the future.
