We are defenders of the night. We are Gargoyles.

Gargoyles Quest’s third chapter is tilted “Acquistions”. Eyrie Tower is under attack by robots which keep all of the gargoyles busy. We get some action packed panels by Pasquale Qualano. Coldstone is able to lock onto the robots and blast them to take them out. We find out from Owen that the attack was a diversion and that someone stole His/Puck’s magical flute which is one of the three Keys of Power. The flute was stolen by Demona. Thailog decides to hand over the the Hand of Valmont to the Illuminati instead of Demona. The Hand of Valmont will be guarded by the Illuminati Treasurer, the mighty dragon Wyvern. Thailog is able to use the Hand of Valmont as a diversion to retrieve a haft of a spear that belonged to Sorcerer Valmont from the dragon’s treasury. That stick is delivered to Demona by Thailog. The remaining Key of Power, Cleopatra’s necklace, is won at an auction by Antoinette Dracon. The real fun will begin in the next issue now that Demona has all three Keys of Power in her possession.

This issue ends on the date November 19, 1997. It looks like Demona is going to ruin Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Gargoyles Quest #3 (Drew Moss)

Two and a half months was a long time to wait for this issue of Gargoyles Quest, but it was worth the wait with another stellar issue written by Greg Weisman. Pasquale Qualano’s artwork is definitively Gargoyles. I am looking forward to seeing my favorite gargoyle, Demona, wreck everyone’s world in the next issue.

Greg Weisman and Pasquale Qualano are giving Gargoyles fans want they want, need, and crave….more Gargoyles Demona.

Gargoyles Quest #3 (Jae Lee)
