Disney Halloween Puzzles by Funko Games Review

I was unaware that Funko Games made puzzles until I visited Funko’s booth at Gen Con in August. The Nightmare Before Christmas POP! Black Light puzzle definitely caught my eye and immediate interest. After Gen Con, I did some Funko Games puzzle research and found out that the company known for fun also recently released a Trick or Treat Mickey and Friends POP! puzzle.

The best holiday, Halloween, is almost upon us. This holiday ranking is fact and not subjective opinion. Our family decided to spend the weekend watching some Disney Halloween classic animated shorts and movies while diving into two of Funko Games newest puzzles.

I am always interested in board games and puzzles that will provide fun for the whole family. These puzzles were each composed of 500 puzzle pieces. Even though the POP! puzzles’ subject matter was Disney these were definitely not Mickey Mouse easy puzzles. The puzzles challenged our brains and each gave us hours of fun.

The first puzzle that we chose to conquer was the Trick Or Treat Mickey and Friends POP! puzzle.

This puzzle features a few seasonal Funko POP! figures that the company has released over the years as well as some new ones. Pumpkin Mickey, Witch Minnie, Skeleton Goofy, Candy Corn Donald, Devil Huey, Witch Dewey, and Ghost Louie have all been released as physical Funko POP! figures. Huey, Dewey, and Louie are from my all time favorite Disney classic animated short “Trick Or Treat.” There is a Witch Hazel Funko POP! figure also features in this puzzle from that short, but that figure has not been announced or released yet. Mickey’s nephews, Morty and Ferdie, are dressed as a pirate and giant lizard as seen in “The Scariest Story Ever A Mickey Mouse Halloween Spooktacular.” Pirate Pluto and Princess Daisy are also out for Halloween trick-or-treating fun in this puzzle.

My family really enjoyed constructing this puzzle that put us in the Halloween mood. Funko Games POP! Puzzles have a special Funko crown puzzle piece. This special piece for this puzzle was on Mickey’s pumpkin costume.

Another day this weekend, we took on The Nightmare Before Christmas POP! Black Light Puzzle.

This Funko Games POP! Puzzle is inspired by the holiday cult classic “The Nightmare Before Christmas”, and it features Jack Skellington, Sally, Zero, The Mayor, and Oogie Boogie in an actual black light POP! figure set released by Funko.

This colorful puzzle was definitely a challenge to complete. We changed up the words of the “Makin’ Christmas” song to “Makin’ Puzzle” as we put together this fun holiday treat and watched the film. This special piece for this puzzle was on a pumpkin.

Here is what the puzzle looks light under a black light. I guess you could make this puzzle even more challenging by trying to complete it in the dark with a black light flashlight.

It’s the Oogie Boogie man!

These two puzzles by Funko Games were all treat and no trick…although the puzzles could be tricky. My family had a blast with these puzzles, and they are already hoping that Funko Games releases a Mickey and Friends Christmas POP! Puzzle for the next holiday season.

A big thanks to our fun friends at Funko Games for sending us these two puzzles to try out and showcase on the blog.
