This is the way to the best Star Wars stuff.

My favorite Star Wars content the past few years has definitely been The Mandalorian series on Disney+. With great Star Wars characters comes great Star Wars merch. Who doesn’t love some Grogu? The Star Wars collectors market is often overloaded with new toys and collectibles for the latest Star Wars Disney+ series and movies. I did some research and our friends at Gentle Giant LTD make some of the highest quality Star Wars collectibles in the entire galaxy. I have picked a couple of items from Gentle Giant LTD’s catalog to showcase on our blog.

One of my favorite product lines from Gentle Giant LTD is their mini-bust line. It is clear that Gentle Giant LTD is dedicated to the mini-busts collection with an impressive deep bench lineup of Star Wars characters. There are some serious deep cut characters and variations, New Star Wars mini-busts are regularly released. It is refreshing for collectors when companies stick with a product line so that you can get all of the characters that you want to complete a set for your display.

Today, we are going to showcase Gentle Giant LTD Star Wars Mandalorian (Beskar) Jumbo Figure. This is the way.

Packaging

The Gentle Giant LTD Mandalorian (Beskar) Jumbo Figure comes on a classic retro card backing with a resealable clamshell blister protective plastic to help you keep your figure mint on card. The piece measures 15×20 and includes two peg holes for you to hang the figure on your wall. If you have checked out any of my figure reviews, you would know that I am 100% an out of box collector…except for this jumbo beauty. Even thought the figure is technically resealable, I feel like I would be breaking the Mandalorian and collectors code opening this figure up. The way is to definitely keep this one in the packaging. This is the way.

The back of the card features a picture of Mando on a speeder bike with Grogu. There are also pictures of other Gentle Giant LTD vintage jumbo figures in the series. It is seriously a great selection of characters, and I will definitely be on a lookout for the jumbo figure of The Mandalorian in his original armor. Other jumbo figures pictured include Darth Vader (Concept), Grand Moff Tarkin, Boba Fett (Prototype), Luke Skywalker (Concept), Admiral Thrawn, and Imperial Commander. Gentle Giant LTD has a lot more characters than that on their official website store.

Mandalorian Jumbo Figure

The Din Djarin Mandalorian character was obviously not around during the classic Star Wars Kenner action figure days. The look of those original Star Wars action figures is so nostalgic and still loved today. Hasbro released a retro collection of characters from the Mandalorian after the first season of the show aired on Disney+. In the below picture, you can see the size difference between the Hasbro 3.75 inch retro figure and the 1:6th scale 12 inch jumbo edition figure from Gentle Giant LTD.

From a comparison of the two figures (besides the obvious size difference), the Hasbro version appears to be more detailed which normally would have been the preferable version; however, the Gentle Giant LTD figure matches the basic look and template of an original Kenner Star Wars action figure that it definite brings more nostalgia and authenticity.

The Gentle Giant LTD Jumbo Mando figure comes with a 1/6 scale blaster accessory. The 1/6 scale is an excellent size for collectors as you can display it next to a premium Hot Toys 1/6th figure and then it would really look retro. Mando’s jet pack is equipped under his cape.

Display Ideas

Review

Whenever I think of classic Star Wars toys and collectibles, it is always the original Star Wars Kenner action figure lineup. Mando is currently my favorite Star Wars character. I have a lot of Star Wars Mandalorian products and memorabilia in my collection, but this one could stand out as one of the coolest. The key word for this one is obviously jumbo. So make sure that you have a place to display it or even hang it on the wall. The jumbo figure is removable from the package to display out of the package, but to me the way it is packaged makes it feel more like art and this is the way that this piece of art is going to be displayed.
