Jymn Magon’s love for animation was apparent as he shared stories and experiences from his remarkable career. Jymn’s contributions to other Disney Afternoon shows solidified his place in the hearts of animation enthusiasts worldwide.

As a show that we all grew up with, I was delighted to hear some of the stories he was able to share. He told with me about how he worked with Don Rosa on a few episodes of Tales Spins, and how he took inspiration for Ducktales from the Uncle Scrooge comics created by Carl Barks and Don Rosa. Also working with the Legendary Tad Stones as a story editor on Darkwing Duck.

At Jymn Magon’s booth, a delightful nostalgia awaited fans. It featured a collection of rare Gummi Bear merchandise such as all of original plush Gummi Bears, a Gummi Bears puzzle, and Funko Pop Gummi Bears signed by Jymn. The booth also showcased original art concept drawings, offering a glimpse into the early stages of character creation. I took a few photos of these drawings to share with all of you. All photos are concepts that are owned by Disney.

During our conversation, Jymn Magon expressed his excitement upon hearing about Ducktalks, a podcast dedicated to all things DuckTales and Disney Afternoon.
