WandaVision successfully kicked off Marvel Studios’ efforts to bring the Marvel Cinematic Universe to Disney’s streaming service, Disney+. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier & Loki proved they could continue that success among multiple properties.
The next Marvel Studios Disney+ series is Hawkeye, and we now know the series will premiere on Wednesday, November 24th. Hawkeye will follow the adventures of Clint Barton, the Avengers’s archer known as Hawkeye. Barton has been portrayed by action-movie Star Jeremy Renner ever since his first appearance in 2011’s Thor.
The series will reportedly follow Barton as he trains a new hero who is a bit of a Hawkeye fan. Hailee Steinfeld will play the young archer Kate Bishop. It is theorized by many that the series will loosely follow the comic from 2012 by the same name that followed the two characters.
Additionally, we know that Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will also appear in the series. Following the events of the recent MCU film Black Widow (especially the after credits scene) many are speculating that Yelena will play a large role in the series.
