Legend of the Three Caballeros Available At Disney+ Launch 11/12

The journey of Legend of the Three Caballeros sure as been an interesting one to follow. The 13 episode series debuted on Disney’s streaming service, Disney Life, in the Philippines only last summer. It made it’s Disney Channel debut in Southeast Asia in January 2019.

Friend of DuckTalks and super fan of Legend of the Three Caballeros, Dani (@theduckavenger), made us aware of the show immediately.

There had been no other news or leaks about the show before its debut on Disney Life, and even the cast and crew that worked on the show did not know about its official release. A fan site that closely parodies an official news site for Disney Television Animation started tweeting about the show which made the cast and crew think Disney had given the ok to talk about it so they excitedly obliged the fans. Reception by fans that had seen the show as well as Three Caballeros fans that were happy to hear of the show’s existence was extremely high. Caballeros fans were ravenous for more Legend of the Three Caballeros information.

An official poster for the show was released and the thought that the show would eventually get picked up for Disney+ was mentioned on social media, but we still have not officially heard from Disney about this show. Tony Anselmo (Voice of Donald Duck) has mentioned the show at conventions.

There are so many new shows to promote across all of Disney’s brands that the official Disney+ announcement may have gotten delayed for the D23 Expo.

The D23 twitter account put out a tweet for Donald Duck’s 85th Birthday, that had a link to an article about some of Donald’s biggest roles…among them The Legend of the Three Caballeros. This is the first official Disney acknowledgement of the show coming to Disney+ at launch (11/12).

Donald’s latest TV venture is also one of his most thrilling. Legend of The Three Caballeros reunites Disney’s top duck with his two amigos from The Three Caballeros (1945). In this animated series, Donald releases Xandra, the Goddess of Adventure, from an enchanted Atlas. Suddenly the Duck, José Carioca, and Panchito find themselves battling mythical monsters around the globe, from the Egyptian pyramids to Mount Rushmore. Legend of The Three Caballeros is expected to be available on Disney+ when Disney’s new direct-to-consumer streaming service launches on November 12, catapulting Donald into a new level of groundbreaking television stardom.

It has been officially announced that the movie, The Three Caballeros (1944), will be available on Disney+ at launch.

I have not seen all of the episodes of Legend of the Three Caballeros, and already I am hoping it will be watched enough on Disney+ for a second, third, and fourth season. We will bring you more information and an official release date as soon as we hear more official details.

What do you think? Does the thought of The Legend of Caballeros being available at launch solidify any decisions to signup for Disney+ at launch? If you have seen the show please post your spoiler free thoughts on the show in the comments section below or tweet us @DuckTalks.
