Herocross Scrooge McDuck Figure Review

Herocross

Herocross…if you have never heard of this toy/collectible company before now, you will be obsessed with them after this article.

Herocross is a Hong Kong based company that makes high quality licensed products. Their most popular series is their Hybrid Metal Figuration (HMF) Series. Hybrid Metal figures use both metal and plastic. The metal and plastic combination produces a high quality product with a great look and ultimate articulation. I would compare them in quality to another Hong Kong company, Hot Toys. Some of the licenses that they produce toys and collectibles for include Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, DC and more.

Herocross Disney Duck Figures

Let’s talk about the Disney Duck releases in the Herocross’ HMF line.

Herocross released an amazing Donald Duck figure a few years ago.

Donald Duck was followed up by his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie.

Herocross recently released Scrooge McDuck, Daisy Duck, and Webby Vanderquack figures.

Scrooge McDuck

I decided that I could not possibly live without these figures in my collection so I ordered the Scrooge McDuck figure from Herocross’s website. Here are my impressions on this masterpiece of a figure.

Scrooge retails for $77 USD+Shipping on Herocross’ website. Shipping is on the high side since it is coming from overseas and has some weight to it. The only other place that I have seen this figure for sale is from sellers on eBay. It may eventually be added to more online retailers, but I haven’t seen it anywhere else yet.

Packaging

The box features a see thru window so that you can see the richest duck in the world in all of his glory. From the window, you can view the Scrooge figure, two additional alternate heads, and a few accessories.

Scrooge McDuck is #60 in the Hybrid Metal Configuration series.

I love the format of Scrooge McDuck’s name on the front of the box and how the ‘k’ makes a Scrooge face.

The Figure

The Scrooge McDuck figure is in his classic blue DuckTales coat. I would definitely buy a variant of this figure with a red coat to honor the comics version of Scrooge if ever one was produced.

Scrooge has 15 points of articulation. So you will be able to get him into many different classic Scrooge poses. The figure has a great weight to it due to being a hybrid of both metal and plastic. He stands really well due to his weight and articulation.

Here is a picture of him next to the Funko and PhatMojo Action figures so that you can see how nice of a size this figure is.

Accessories

Scrooge comes with many accessories. Scrooge’s hat is removable and it has a magnet which helps it stay on his head. Scrooge also comes with a pedestal with his number one dime, a gold nugget, pile of coins, 3 single coins, a duster, cane, musket gun, and any hand combination you could possible want for your figure’s pose.

Head Sculpts

Scrooge comes with three head options: smiling Scrooge, so money Scrooge, and you wouldn’t like me when I am angry Scrooge.

Fun Poses

Here are some fun poses and pictures that I did for a Scrooge Photo Shoot with the figure. I gave each photo a Scroogey title.

DuckTales for NES is the best video game ever Scrooge!

Woo-oo! Scrooge

Final Thoughts

As you can probably tell from above, I freaking love this Scrooge McDuck figure. The quality is top knotch, and the figure is rich with accessories for great play and display. It is now one of the favorite items in my collection. I am now a huge fan of Herocross, and I look forward to adding more ducks to my collection in the future.

I would love to see Launchpad McQuack, Gizmoduck, Glomgold, and Magica added to this line….and Darkwing Duck!

  1. I have the Dewey and the Webby. I find the legs to be weak; their ‘hip’ sockets aren’t deep enough so the legs easily pop out and do not offer enough freedom of movement. Too bad.

      • They can stand if their legs are spread wide for stability. Can’t really play with them as if they’re walking around (moving legs) or the legs pop out. Cute, though.

  2. Damn you Pirate ! Now I am going to have to drop a pile of cash on this amazing Duck merch , lol. Definatly getting Scrooge , 3 nephews , Webby , and Donald. Keep up the great work on the site. Its been really cool to see the site grow and the interviews seem to be slowly drawing some big Ducktales and disney names to your site. Kudos!

  3. […] Herocross recently released three new deluxe Disney Duck action figures in their hybrid metal action figure line: Scrooge McDuck, Webby Vanderquack, and Daisy Duck. I spoke with Herocross, and they did not have any plans to announce any new figures in this line this week. As much as I would have loved a Launchpad McQuack, Flintheart Glomgold, or Magica De Spell figure, I just discovered this line so I was fine with no new announcements at this time. I am already playing catch up trying to get the characters that I am currently missing. You can read my blog review on the amazing Herocross’ Scrooge McDuck figure here. […]
