Are You Ready For DuckTales’ Treasure Hunt Live?!

This will probably be our next to last blog about the DuckTales news from last week. There was a lot of really great news, but I found this one the most interesting. We know we are getting new episodes, we know we are getting episodes every day in May, and we know that Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera (aka Lin-Manuel Miranda / aka Gizmoduck) will make his debut on the show May 11th. We also know the Disney Channel has all kinds of promotion set to coincide with the debut of DuckTales 2017 on the Disney Channel. DuckTales Treasure Hunt Live! appears to be a fun interactive event for fans to compete on the DisneyNOW app.

This news also comes to us from the Deadline Hollywood article form last week. When the show debuts on May 1st at 8 pm there will be an interactive experience both on air and on the DisneyNOW app. If you are using the DisneyNOW app you will selected a team based on DuckTales characters. During the episode a treasure will be revealed and fans will need to find the treasure in the DisneyNOW app. Every Friday during the month of May the Disney Channel will highlight the leading team, and on May 25th the team with the most points wins! What do they win!? That’s a great question! According to the article there will be an on-air shout out by a team captain, and the winners will unlock an exclusive in-app surprise.

Your next questions may be who are the team captains. Here are the team captains according to an article at D23.com the team captains are:

Team Huey – Isaak Presley (Stuck in the Middle)

Team Dewey – Sofia Wylie (Andi Mack)

Team Louie – Isaac Ryan Brown (Raven’s Home)

Team Webby – Ariana Greenblatt (Stuck in the Middle)

Our DuckTalks team has already divided up into teams for the event (and so have our households). Josh (@CCRunner524) is Team Huey, I am Team Dewey (@Infiniram616), and Pirate (@ThePirateSteven) has chosen Team Louie. We’ve already had a little fun with the event on our Twitter account. Check out the results of how our fellow fans divided up.

I think DuckTales Treasure Hunt! sounds like a great way for DuckFans to interact with the show. How about you? Will you be participating? Which team will you choose? Join the conversation in the comments below or on Twitter @DuckTalks.
